On March 1st our chapter started selling Bundt Cakes as their Spring fundraiser, all orders were due on the 14th

On the 2nd, it was announced that Cassidy Gibbs was selected as a Sub-Committee Chair for the 2022 State Conference. It was also announced that Lane Sheehan was a state finalist for his proficiency! 

Also on the 2nd, our Cooperatives team went to Parlier, Lane Sheehan finished in 5th and Brayton Stenberg finished in 4th. The team placed 2nd high in the competition.

During the weekend of the 5th and the 6th horse judging, vet science, meat judging, livestock judging, parli pro, went to UC Davis to compete in their field day.
Results:
Novice Parli Pro: 4th - Tessa Camacho and Spencer Pillsbury being high chairs
Advanced Parli Pro: 6th Place
Horse Judging: Abigail La Spada- 2nd place, Abbigail Goodwin- 4th place

The BIG and Floral competed at the Le Grand field dayon the 6th, BIG was 4th high overall and Tessa Camacho was 5th high individual.

On March 11th, our purple ponies crew headed to the Coarsegold rodeo. We were excited to see everyone show up and support our members! Thank you to everyone who came out!

Our Floral and Vet Science team completed in the Dinuba field day on March 12, while the BIG team competed in the Merced College field day. Keep up the hard work everyone!

Our Parliamentary Procedure teams on March 13th competed at the San Joaquin Regional competition, Advanced placed 1st and novice was 2nd at the SJR contest on Friday! Tessa, Lane, and Paige were all high chairs. Next, they move on to the state contest, which will take place during State Conference this month. 

The week of March 14th-18th we held FFA week where we did various activities throughout the week with our members such as, goat yoga, kiss a pig, relay races, dress up days and more.

On the 16th, the chapter took a tour at SummerSweet which is a packing house located in Reedley. The students got to learn about how their stone fruit is picked, washed, and packaged. Thank you to SummerSweet for giving us a tour of your facility!

Some of our CDE teams, vet science, floral, livestock judging, meats judging, and marketing cooperatives went to Modesto Junior College and competed in their field day on the 19th. Our welding team then completed in El Capitan’s field day. In the end, Brayton Stenberg was the high individual in Marketing Cooperatives and Lucas Rezendes ended in 3rd high individual in livestock judging. 

Brayton Stenberg placed top 8 for extemporaneous in the state on March 24th! Way to go Brayton, we are so proud of you and all your hard work!

On the 28th, it was announced that Lane Sheehan won the state proficiency in the area of Swine Production.  Lane’s proficiency application will represent California FFA at National Convention this fall.

Our Novice Parliamentary Procedure team was announced as  ended as the 3rd high in the state on March 29th. The Advanced team ended as the 6th high in the state! Congratulations to both our teams!
