On February 6th, it was announced that 10 of our chapter members would be receiving their Stats FFA Degrees. Congratulations to Jacob Benzler, Benjamyn Bradley, Paige Camacho, Paige Cecil, Cassidy Gibbs, Adrienne Hall, Jaylin Hogan, Tyler Jones, Lucas Rezendes, and Kaileah Sandstrom!
The Arbuckle Field Day was hosted on February 7th where multiple of our CDE teams competed. The results are...

The chapter had a great movie night during the FFA meeting on February 10th. We watched Sandlot and enjoyed some popcorn while watching!
Our very own Mrs. Vandenbergh, was announced as the Star Counselor for the East-Fresno Madera FFA Section on February 11th. We are so incredibly proud of her and want to thank her for all she does!
Our Strengthening Ag committee was hard at work on February 11th teaching students how to build owl boxes! The committee headed to North Fork, Spring Valley, and Hillside elementaries to read 2nd graders the book, "How A House is Built." After the book, they helped the students make owl boxes to put in their communities and schools.
Also on February 11th, our 2nd Vice President was announced as the regional winner on his swine production entrepreneurship proficiency! Congratulations Lane!
On February 15th, we hosted the annual Donkey Basketball! The night was a great success and we appreciate all who attended. We also had two very special guest, state officers, Jake Dowell and Marc Cabeliza!
Our State FFA President and Reporter joined us on the 17th for a state officer visit. The officers hosted workshops throughout the day on the topic of "advancing agriculture." The students had to work together and create presentation on agriculture within the area they were given. Thank you to Jake Dowell and Marc Cabeliza for some great lessons!
Our regional speakers, Jake Hadjis, Jacie Ogle, Brayton Stenberg, and Joshua Wolford competed on the 18th where Brayton Stenberg moved onto state finals for Extemporaneous!
Over the course of the weekend of the 20th, 12 of our members attended the Visalia MFE and ALA conference. During their time there, they learned more about leadership and how they can incorporate it more into their lives with the California State FFA Officers.
On the 22nd, the Advanced and Novice Parliamentary Procedure teams competed in Atwater. The Advance team won 4th place and the Novice won 5th place. Tessa Camacho received 5th high chair.
The East-Fresno Madera FFA section host an activity at Blackbeards where 50 of our members attended.
The San Joaquin Regional meeting was held on the 26th where our two officer candidates, Joshua Wolford and Cassidy Gibbs answered impromptu style questions on stage. Brayton Stenberg finished his year of service on the San Joaquin regional team. Acacia Edeluchel and Talia Hadjis, our delegates, voted on who would be elected for the 2022-2023 San Joaquin Regional officer team. At the end, it was announced that Joshua Wolford will be the SJR Sentinel.
